Sustainability
Change is a journey
to experience together
Join us on our path towards a more sustainable world
Our manifesto
Looking at what is happening to our world, maybe you think no one can save it. No one can change things. Actually, everyone can. Anyone can change a small habit, commit to a small goal, try to do something a little differently.
Is it enough? Yes, if we all do our part, and don’t think we are too small to make a difference. Because caring for the planet and those who inhabit it is a heroic and monumental mission that can only be accomplished by normal people, like us.
At Gruppo Teddy we have always believed that fashion should belong to everyone. Likewise, we think it makes no difference who you are or where you come from, you can always change things, as long as you are not alone. We won’t wait for a hero to save us all. We will start working on what really matters. Now, together. Join us. Because everyone can do it.

Together we make the difference
Materials
Every day we strive to introduce more sustainable materials into our collections. Want to know how to recognise them? Just look out for the Everyone Can tags on our garments, in shops and online, which guarantee the use of materials produced with traceable and certified sustainable processes. The true beauty of a garment begins with the sustainability of the material. This is how we create and add value to our entire supply chain.
The Everyone Can collection
Sustainability is beautiful
Made from more sustainable materials, the garments in our Everyone Can collection demonstrate how it’s possible to create beauty through sustainable choices.
Recycling is innovation
The real novelty sometimes lies in a new road to travel. This is what happens to a garment when you choose to give it a second life instead of abandoning it.

What is it?
There are different ways to recycle polyester: by recycling used garments, raw material waste or unused fabrics from production plants. Basically, recycling polyester gives a second life to all this textile waste. Recycling polyester enables a significant reduction of energy consumption in the production phase, therefore, it has a much lower environmental impact than using conventional polyester. Our recycled fabric garments can be made from two types of materials: pre-consumer or post-consumer. Pre-consumer recycled fabric is diverted from the textile waste stream during the manufacturing process or from industry inefficiency. The post-consumer fabric comes from the end consumers of the product who dispose of it as it has reached the end of its life. Recycled materials can come from textiles (e.g. polyester) but also from PET items.
Why is it better than standard fabrics?
The use of recycled polyester reduces the dependence on petroleum as a raw material, making use of waste and reducing CO2 emissions. The production of recycled polyester requires less energy than virgin polyester. Recycled polyester allows the fibre to be recovered, 100% guaranteeing the same quality when transforming it into a new garment. Recycled polyester preserves the same quality and reliability.
During the recycling process, the fibre is reconstituted at a molecular level, and therefore recycled polyester is just as strong, durable and has the same properties as virgin polyester.
All our products with labels indicating the presence of recycled fibres are supported by RCS or GRS certifications that guarantee traceability and compliance throughout the value chain.
What is it?
It’s a viscose patented by the Austrian Lenzing AG™ group, one of the world’s largest viscose producers. The Austrian company is known in the viscose production market for its particular and significant focus on an environmentally sustainable production process and compliance with stringent ecological and ethical standards. Ecovero™ is derived from wood and cellulosic pulp from certified and controlled sources. This fabric fibre has a very shiny appearance and an extremely soft texture. It’s a breathable material that is very pleasant to the touch.
Why is it better than standard fabrics?
The production process reduces carbon emissions and water consumption by 50% compared to conventional viscose production.
What is it?
It’s a Made in Italy process exclusive to Marchi & Fildi that transforms pre-consumer offcuts (production waste from weaving or knitting mills) into new yarns.
All this yarn entails considerable environmental benefits with impressive figures:
- 46.6% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions
- 46.9% energy savings
- 61.6% less water consumption throughout the production chain.
These figures are based on the LCA – the life cycle assessment that studies the life cycle of a product, certified by ICEA. This assessment compares the production of ECOTEC yarns with the production of similar, conventional fibres.
Why is it better than standard fabrics?
Thanks to Ecotec® technology, it is possible to create new yarns from pre-consumer production waste from knitting mills, weaving mills or our own internal production cycle – pure or blended with virgin or recycled fibres – as well as from used garments and post-consumer materials.
The Ecotec® technology is versatile and enables the production of yarns with bright, durable colours and a high level of quality for various sectors, including flat and circular knitting, weaving and upholstery. The process is fully traceable and subject to product and process certification to protect consumer health.
What is it?
Recycled wool is obtained by recycling fabric waste or old garments, which would otherwise be destined for the landfill. The product contains fibre obtained by both intermediate and finished products.
Why is it better than standard fabrics?
Biodiversity conservation: by opting for recycled wool you contribute to preserving the habitat of animals. With less demand for traditional wool, pressure on intensive animal husbandry is reduced, and we avoid new virgin wool, which requires a lot of water, energy and land for intensive sheep farming.
Reduced carbon emissions: thanks to its sustainable life cycle, regenerated wool compared to conventional wool contributes to reducing CO2 emissions into the atmosphere, helping to fight climate change.
Waste minimisation: thanks to the regeneration process, recycled wool reduces material waste, which means that less wool ends up in landfills, contributing to a more sustainable cycle of production and consumption.
All our products with labels indicating the presence of recycled fibres are supported by RCS or GRS certifications that guarantee traceability and compliance throughout the value chain.
What is it?
There are different ways to recycle cotton: from used garments, raw material waste or unused fabrics from production plants.
By recycling cotton, all this textile waste is given a second life. This process considerably reduces water and energy consumption in the production phase, and therefore has a much lower environmental impact than traditional cotton.
Why is it better than standard fabrics?
As there is no new raw material extraction stage, the amount of energy, water and dyes used in the production of recycled cotton is considerably reduced compared to the production of virgin cotton.
All our products with labels indicating the presence of recycled fibres are supported by RCS or GRS certifications that guarantee traceability and compliance throughout the value chain.
What is it?
CThe Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is an international standard used for the certification of natural organic fibres and includes ecological and social criteria. It consists of an independent certification system of the entire textile production chain. Organic cotton is cultivated without the use of pollutants, unlike conventional cotton, which requires large amounts of water, pesticides and synthetic fertilisers. Substances harmful to the environment and human health are banned. The land is not exploited and abandoned, but enters the rotation regime. The rights and minimum wages of fair labour are guaranteed.
Organic cotton has many characteristics that make it superior to conventional cotton. For example, organic cotton is softer, stronger and more breathable than conventional cotton. Moreover, since no environmentally toxic chemicals are used in its production, organic cotton is less irritating to sensitive skin and less likely to cause allergies.
Why is it better than standard fabrics?
One of the prime reasons for choosing organic cotton is its impact on the environment. Organic cotton production uses natural and organic methods to control pests and weeds, which not only reduces the amount of toxic chemicals in the environment, but also helps preserve biodiversity and promote healthy soil and water.
What is it?
REPREVE® is a registered trademark of UNIFI® which has patented a fibre derived from recycled plastic from landfills and oceans. REPREVE® is a traceable and certified fibre, which is also found in blends with virgin polyester or other filaments. REPREVE® polyester fibre is a more sustainable fibre made entirely from food-grade post-consumer plastic and can also feature built-in breathability, thermal comfort and other performance technologies.
Why is it better than standard fabrics?
Its benefits include reduced greenhouse gas emissions and increased circularity of materials and products, thus helping to eliminate both landfill waste and dependence on oil and other resources, which would otherwise be used to produce new virgin fibre. The protocol of this label also includes compliance with social and environmental standards.
