We choose more sustainable materials to positively impact the production chain. Recycled fabrics allow the use of less energy, dyes and water, as in the case of recycled polyester and cotton, and guarantee the traceability of all fibers.

Goals

We work every day to make a difference and build sustainability stories that have a strong and positive impact on our planet. We are by your side, with the constant goal of increasing the percentages of organic and recycled materials and continuing to reduce emissions for each product sold. By 2025, 30% by weight of purchased raw materials will come from more sustainable sources.

Every year we reach new milestones aware that we can always do more in terms of reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Since 2024 we have reached 100% renewable energy in our offices.

We want real change for the fashion industry and we think that every milestone we achieve is a challenge point for the next goal. We are committed to reducing absolute scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 51% by 2031 compared to the 2019 baseline year. Furthermore, we are committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions per unit of product sold by 51% within the same time frame.

Food Collection

The National Food Collection Day is an initiative promoted by the Food Bank Foundation in which, thanks to the participation of volunteers from all over Italy and people who join the initiative, it is possible to donate non-perishable food to people in need.

What is it?

Recycled polyester is obtained from existing fabrics or other post-consumer waste materials (PET, bottles, supply chain waste, etc.) and plays a fundamental role in supporting a more circular economy. Our products made from recycled polyester are GRS (Global Recycle Standard) certified, the international standard that guarantees transparency and traceability of the product supply chain.

Why is it better than a standard fabric?

When you use recycled polyester you reduce dependence on oil as a raw material and contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions.

Reusing waste instead of disposing of it also means limiting waste and the production of textile waste.

Recycled polyester fabrics stand out for their durability and quality compared to virgin fabrics.

What is it?

ECOVERO™ is Lenzing's ecological viscose brand that uses wood from certified forests. It is an eco-responsible solution that uses up to 50% less emissions, water impact and energy use compared to conventional viscose.

Why is it better than a standard fabric?

With ECOVERO™ you have natural fibers made from certified sources of trees and pulp from responsibly and sustainably managed forests. Furthermore, it is possible to identify the origin of the wood to ensure it comes from responsible forests.

What is it?

ECOTEC® is Fulgar®'s brand that uses a Polyamide yarn from the recycling of discarded fishing nets or recovered from landfills and oceans.

ECOTEC® is made from warehouse waste such as end of series or defective fabrics. All to eliminate waste and make the product circular economy.

ECOTEC® recycled Polyamide is certified Global Recycle Standard (GRS), an independent standard for traceability of recycled fabrics from raw material to finished product.

Why is it better than a standard fabric?

The manufacturing process of ECOTEC® yarn is more efficient than the traditional virgin polyamide one and requires less energy consumption.

Fabrics made with ECOTEC® maintain the same performance and durability as virgin fabrics.

What is it?

Regenerated wool is obtained from pre-consumer textile waste, i.e. fibers, yarns and fabrics left over from production. Our products made from regenerated wool are GRS (Global Recycle Standard) certified, the international standard that guarantees transparency and traceability of the recycled products supply chain.

Why is it better than a standard fabric?

GRS regenerated fabric helps reduce waste and the production of textile waste and limit CO2 emissions related to production.

It transforms textile waste into a quality product reducing the use of virgin raw materials.

The wool recovery process uses less water and less energy than using virgin fibers.

Recycled wool can be recycled again thus helping to create a true circular economy.

What is it?

Recycled cotton is obtained from the reuse of pre-consumer and post-consumer fabrics and waste. Post-consumer Cotton comes from old clothes, home textiles or other products that have completed their life cycle.

Pre-consumer Cotton, on the other hand, comes from processing waste from the production process, which are instead reintegrated into the production cycle.

Why is it better than a standard fabric?

Recycled cotton, compared to virgin cotton, helps reduce waste and the production of textile waste.

The cotton recycling process requires less water and less energy than using virgin fibers and reduces CO2 emissions due to the production of virgin material.

What is it?

Organic Cotton, derived from GOTS certified organic crops, does not use toxic fertilizers, pesticides and insecticides and is produced according to the rules of organic farming.

Our Organic Cotton products are GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified, a system that guarantees the organic status of textiles from the collection of raw materials to the processing and labeling of the finished product. The certification covers every stage of the supply chain.

Why is it better than a standard fabric?

Organic cotton, using more sustainable processes and methods, has a reduced environmental impact compared to conventionally grown cotton. This translates into a lower impact on soil and water use.

What is it?

REPREVE® is a high-performance recycled polyester fiber from plastic bottles and other post-consumer recycled materials. It is a fiber developed by Unifi Inc. to transform waste into sustainable polyester for all types of clothing and accessories.

Why is it better than a standard fabric?

REPREVE® fiber helps alleviate the problem of plastic pollution and reduces air emissions.

Choosing to keep a garment with you as long as possible means preventing it from becoming waste to dispose of. That's why we want to help you take care of your garments, for us every gesture is important and our experience teaches us that the less you replace, the less you pollute.

More resources, less energy

The first resource to respect is precisely the garment you have in your hands. Making quality garments is a process that requires resources that we want to use responsibly, impacting our production chain as little as possible.

From washing to care

Washing garments often can lead to the dispersion, through water, of microplastics into the environment. Too frequent washing can also contribute to the premature aging of fabrics. The care of beauty is always sustainable: wash less and with the right products and your garments will always be at their best.

Discover how to take care of your garments

Hand washing

For delicate garments or natural materials, we recommend hand washing in warm water and air drying. Use gentle clothing detergents and rub gently. Rinse with cold water to remove detergent and squeeze out excess water without wringing the fabric. Lay it flat to air dry.

Machine washing

Always set the washing machine to a delicate cycle with cold water. Use a neutral or slightly basic detergent with a pH between 6 and 8 and, if possible, without chlorine content. Do not mix whites with colors.

When to go to the dry cleaner

Wool, woven knitwear, evening dresses and leather garments should be dry cleaned. Dry cleaning is always the safest choice and guarantees the best results: go to your trusted dry cleaner!

Air drying

For most Rinascimento garments, we recommend air drying to preserve the garment. Air drying not only extends the life of the garment, but also prevents garments from shrinking and preserves the fibers.

Tumble drying

If you really need to use the dryer, always set a low or medium temperature. Always dry dark garments separately from light ones. Never dry more than one load at a time, otherwise the garments could get tangled and damaged.

Ironing

Some fabrics don't need to be ironed. Just remove them still warm from the dryer and fold or hang them immediately to prevent wrinkles. For linen or cotton garments, always check the label: some fabrics should be ironed inside out and at medium temperature. For more delicate garments, use a steam iron.

Make Up

Makeup stains come off with a little dish soap. Apply the detergent to the stain and let it work for a few minutes, then rinse with cold water. Repeat if necessary and then wash normally in the washing machine.

Food/Drinks

Food and drink stains come off with cold water. Rinse the stain immediately with running cold water and then treat with a little liquid detergent. Let it work for 5-10 minutes, then rinse and wash normally in the washing machine.

Hair dye

Hair dye stains come off with denatured alcohol. Dab the stain with a cloth soaked in alcohol until the stain transfers to the cloth. Then wash normally in the washing machine with cold water.

Vacuum

Vacuum bags are perfect for storing off-season garments and protecting fibers from humidity, dust and parasites. Make sure garments are clean and completely dry before storing.

Mothballs

Use natural mothballs in cedar wood or lavender to protect wool and cashmere garments from moths. Avoid naphthalene balls, which can be toxic and damage fibers.

Containers and fragrance

Store garments in breathable boxes or containers. Avoid plastic bags that can trap moisture. Add a lavender sachet to keep your garments fresh and fragrant.

Washing machine symbols

Basin-shaped symbols indicate how to machine wash the garment. The number inside indicates the maximum temperature in degrees Celsius. A hand in the basin means hand washing, while an X above the basin means do not wash.

Dryer symbols

Circular symbols indicate whether the garment can be tumble dried. A dot inside indicates low temperature, two dots normal temperature. An X above the circle means do not tumble dry.

Clothing labels

Clothing labels contain valuable information on how to take care of your garments. Always read them before washing or drying a new garment to avoid damaging it.

FAQ

Yes, all Rinascimento garments have labels with symbols indicating how to wash and dry the garment. We recommend always reading the label before washing a garment for the first time.

No, synthetic fabrics vary greatly from each other. Some can be machine washed, others must be hand washed or dry cleaned. Always check the garment label for specific instructions.

Natural fabrics such as wool, silk and linen are delicate and require special care. The dry cleaner is always the safest choice for these fabrics, but some can be hand washed following the instructions on the label.

Evening dresses should always be dry cleaned before being stored. Store them in a breathable cover and hang them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Delicate lingerie should always be washed in the washing machine on a delicate cycle with cold water, preferably in a laundry bag. Avoid the dryer and air dry to preserve elasticity and shape.

For washing faux leather garments we recommend setting the washing machine to a delicate cycle with cold or lukewarm water and, in any case, never exceeding 30 degrees. We also recommend choosing the right products: do not use fabric softeners or too acidic and aggressive detergents. However, it is preferable to take faux leather garments to the dry cleaner.
