Spring and Summer are the seasons in which almost all ceremonies and weddings happen.
It’s wonderful to participate in events in which we celebrate the love and joy of our nearest and dearest. For these occasions, we must choose our outfit carefully, thinking not only of our needs and preferences, but also of those who invited us.
Every wedding has its own special characteristics, so when choosing which wedding dress to wear, there are many elements to take into account, in addition to our wishes, of course.
To help you choose, we have come up with this innovative guide, which proposes different looks, depending on the type of wedding and location.

Let's quickly review the 'rules' to follow to be perfect guests:

1 - At weddings, unless otherwise specified by the bride and groom, you shouldn’t wear black, white or red.
2 - Avoid outfits that are too casual or too flashy. Remember that on that day, the bride and groom are the ones in the spotlight.
3 - The marriage ceremony, whether religious or civil, is a formal ceremony, and therefore too skimpy or low-cut dresses are 'forbidden'. The outfit must be respectful of the solemnity of the moment.
4 - Etiquette dictates that short, knee-length dresses are preferable for morning ceremonies, while long dresses are ideal for late afternoon and evening ceremonies. However, if you wish to wear a long dress for a morning ceremony, opt for pastel colours and simple patterns, worn with a shrug if the garment is sleeveless.
5 - If you play an important role, such as mother of the bride or groom, best man or bridesmaid, it’s best to include the bride and groom in the decision-making process, so that you can coordinate. A successful photoshoot certainly involves a balanced choice of colours and shapes.

As always, we advise you to decide a little in advance and make your outfit usable even if you have doubts about the weather.

Countryside Wedding

Most weddings and related celebrations take place in the countryside in places, such as villas or historical palaces.
It’s not uncommon for the function, whether religious or civil, to take place in the city and for the reception and party to be organised in the countryside location.
In this case, when deciding which wedding outfit to wear, you should consider that you will probably need a multi-layered outfit. In a church or town hall, it’s best to be a little more covered, as a sign of respect for the solemnity of the moment, but once the ceremony is over, you can abandon elegant jackets, ceremonial stoles and shrugs, leaving your shoulders and back more uncovered.

If you choose a jacket or blazer to cover your shoulders, buy a pair of trousers or a skirt in the same fabric. In this way, with a small budget, you will breathe new life into your jacket or blazer, and you can use it for many other formal occasions or for the office.
Traditionally, long dresses are reserved for occasions that take place from late afternoon onwards. With the right precautions, it’s possible to make a long dress suitable even for ceremonies starting in the morning. In these cases, a good alternative can be a smart jumpsuit that will give the effect of a long dress, without the risk of looking overdressed.
Balance is Key! If your outfit is elaborate and sophisticated, opt for a simple hairstyle or leave your hair down and neat. The same goes for make-up, which should balance your hair and dress.

Seaside Wedding

A seaside wedding is a wonderful opportunity to spend a few days away from home, enjoying the warm climate of coastal resorts.
Maritime weddings can be very diverse, from ceremonies held in elegant and sophisticated locations overlooking the sea to simple and romantic barefoot ceremonies on the sand.
For more elegant and formal ceremonies, the same suggestions apply as for countryside weddings. Pay attention to footwear in particular, which must be suitable for walking on the beach. Opt for a summer wedding dress or an elegant wedding jumpsuit in a print reminiscent of the colour of the sea as a tribute to the bride and groom.

On the other hand, if the wedding you have been invited to is a beach ceremony, you can opt for a knee-length, light and feminine dress, such as our flouncy model.
A two-pice outfit, consisting of an elegant skirt or trousers combined with a blouse, can be a good solution, provided the ensemble is enhanced by an equally sophisticated top.

Wedding in the Hills and Mountains

The outfit for a wedding in the hills or mountains may require slightly more attention than weddings in the countryside or by the sea. One must always take into account not only the temperature, which can be colder in the evenings, but also the possibility of uneven terrain, for which very tight clothes and very high heels may be inappropriate.
If the wedding is in spring or towards the end of summer, a wedding coat or an elegant light formal coat may do the trick.
Pair it with a skirt or a pair of two-toned trousers and you're good to go!
